For prospective students
The Master’s program in Mathematics typically lasts four semesters and leads to the academic degree of Master of Science. The prerequisite for this program is a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or in fields in which a comparable level of mathematical knowledge is attained (for example, a Bachelor’s in Mathematical Economics or a Bachelor’s in Physics).
In the master’s program, you must earn 120 ECTS credits and complete a one-semester master’s thesis. The master’s thesis must be written in one of the institute’s research areas:
- Algebraic geometry
- Analysis, Mathematical Physics, and Numerical Methods
- Differential Geometry and Topology, Geometry and Topology
- Stochastics and Financial Mathematics
Prospective students can find all the information they need about applying and submitting applications on the website of the Office of Academic Affairs for Natural Sciences (PANI).
Please also be sure to follow the instructions provided by the Student Affairs Office. You may need to register there as well.
