Abstract:

It remains an open question for which varieties the canonical surjective map
from its Chow ring to the graded ring associated to the topological filtration
on its K-theory is also injective. A method will be presented to disprove this
statement for the generic twist of the variety of Borel subgroups of certain
algebraic groups. Some new counterexamples constructed by this method will
be shown. This is joint work with Victor Petrov and Egor Zolotarev.
