Best Poster Award for Inés Rosellón Inclán at the ERASMUS+ International PhD Summer School

19 Jun 2026

Our PhD student Inés Rosellón Inclán attended the ERASMUS+ International PhD Summer School "Mathematics and Machine Learning for Image Analysis" at the University of Bologna.

Our PhD student Inés Rosellón Inclán attended the ERASMUS+ International PhD Summer School "Mathematics and Machine Learning for Image Analysis" at the University of Bologna. The summer school brought together researchers from a broad network of European partner universities around the intersection of applied mathematics, machine learning, and imaging — a great fit for Inés's research on trustworthy image reconstruction, and a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss ongoing work.

During the poster session, Inés presented our recent work on CHEM (Conformal Hallucination Estimation Metric): a method for detecting and quantifying hallucinations in image reconstruction models. By combining wavelet and shearlet representations with conformalized quantile regression, CHEM flags realistic-looking artifacts that are not present in the ground truth, in a distribution-free way.

We are delighted to share that Inés received the Best Poster Presentation Award at the event. Congratulations!
