The Chair is proud to announce that Dr. Johannes Maly, a member of our research team, has been honored with the 2024 ACHA Charles Chui Young Researcher Best Paper Award from the Journal of Applied and Computational Harmonic Analysis.

Dr. Maly's award-winning paper, "Robust Sensing of Low-Rank Matrices with Non-Orthogonal Sparse Decomposition," published in November 2023, explores how digital processing limitations, particularly quantization, impact computational models, with implications for developing more resource-efficient and reliable AI technologies.
